Jessica Grafton Throop
Rooted in accountability, equity, and collective liberation, I bring over a decade of experience as a grant writer and institutional giving strategist, securing transformative resources for mission-driven organizations. Dedicated to justice and community care, I’ve built a career supporting movements that prioritize safety, dignity, and power for historically disenfranchised communities.
From international nonprofits to grassroots collectives, I have helped organizations craft community-centered narratives, deepen alignment with funders, and sustain work at the front lines of change, including racial and gender justice, immigrant rights, housing, and reproductive freedom. I partner with organizations that advance systemic change by and for Black, Indigenous, immigrant, LGBTQ+, women, and working-class communities. My consulting approach is:
-Values-Driven: Centering lived experiences and the communities most impacted by injustice
-Collaborative: Supporting staff and leadership with integrated, cross-departmental processes
-Strategic: Building funder alignment, stewardship, and long-term sustainability
-Narrative-Powered: Honoring community voice while meeting institutional expectations
