Caring for Girls Academy Inc.
Caring for Girls Academy Inc. (C4G) is a 501 (3) © organization created in 2011. C4G was established to educate the community of long term effects of childhood trauma, to provide healthy strategies to cope with family trauma, and to encourage healthy relationships. Our mission is to enhance the healing process from family trauma, encourage lives to embrace healthy relationships and inspire hope for the future. C4G is a female-centered program that empowers females to live a purposeful life. C4G provides opportunities for young females to interact with diverse populations. C4G provides intervention/prevention services to girls that are facing family or environmental trauma. C4G’s goal is to empower females by providing skills to raise confidence, self-acceptance, and belonging to females aged 9-24. C4G initiative focuses on the theoretical framework of the Socioecological Model to understand the complex interplay of individual, community, and societal factors that influence human behavior and health outcome. C4G addresses social environments, including family, friends, community relationships, and support systems. We meet once a month to provide interactive activities, enrichment workshop, skills development, and preventive and intervention services related to family planning, violence and suicide, and drug prevention, as well as provide supports for processing experienced trauma.
