I’m Whitney Buchmann, Founder and CEO of Illustra Impact, a woman-owned social innovation consulting firm based in St. Petersburg, FL. I started Illustra Impact in 2021 to address a gap I kept seeing: organizations with strong ideas and deep community relationships that still struggled to translate insight into clear strategy and coordinated action. My work sits at the intersection of community organizing, systems thinking, and strategic facilitation — helping nonprofit leaders, coalitions, and cross-sector initiatives move from complexity to clarity. Over 15 years, I’ve worked across healthcare, food security, racial justice, child welfare, and climate equity, with engagements that have shaped $25M in philanthropic investment strategy, aligned coalitions of 30+ organizations around shared outcomes, and built programs designed directly with the people they serve. Illustra Impact operates through a lean, trusted-network model — which means clients get senior-level attention and tailored engagement without the overhead of a large firm. I hold a Global MBA from IE Business School and bring professional Spanish proficiency and certification in Crucial Conversations and Crucial Accountability to my practice.
