Providing Coordinated Services to the Tampa Bay Area and Beyond

We believe that providing coordinated capacity and administrative support to small, historically marginalized community-led and serving organizations can advance systems-change in our community. We do this using a Shared Services Organizational Model that coordinates pooled services and resources to drive down costs and creates a supported ecosystem for the folks closest to our community’s needs.

Use Case:

Nonprofit Capacity Building

As an example, The Hypatia Collaborative is the administrative hub and umbrella organization for a network of nonprofit consultants and service providers providing back office support for small and medium sized nonprofits. Using a case management approach, the Hypatia Collaborative uses an intake process that utilizes an assessment tool to create an organizational baseline for the potential nonprofit client. This baseline, coupled with a strategic planning process, creates a roadmap for administrative and operational scaled support and referrals to the network of service providers.

 Shared evaluation and research can create opportunities for multiple organizations to identify shared outcome metrics that can help improve service delivery, inform funders on trends, as well as be leveraged for economic capital.

Instead of duplicating administrative services for each organization, we can share services that are scaled for the size and needs of the organization. This can help keep costs down for nonprofits while still reducing their administrative and operational burden.

I’m really enjoying my experience with the Hypatia Collaborative and appreciate all the support it’s providing for me and my organization. I’m currently working well with four out of the five vendors I’ve been introduced to, and I find that I learn best in a hands-on setting with 2 to 4 vendors at a time.
